Classification: Reference: BT16-006 Date: NTB16-070 July 26, 2016 2014 – 2015 TAXI; CONVERSION OF AUTO STEPS TO FIXED POSITION APPLIED VEHICLE: 2014 – 2015 Taxi SERVICE INFORMATION Kits are now available to convert the auto steps to non-moving fixed steps. This bulletin contains instructions to install the conversion kits. NOTE: There are two kits (left side kit and right side kit). Both kits must be installed at the same time. Installation of the conversion kits is a customer choice. The auto steps must not be physically damaged or bent. If there is any physical damage, the conversion kits cannot be installed. Conversion kit can be installed if: The side steps are not physically damaged. The auto function has stopped working and the customer chooses to install conversion kits rather than repair the auto function. The customer chooses to have this kit installed to disable the auto function. Nissan Bulletins are intended for use by qualified technicians, not 'do-it-yourselfers'. Qualified technicians are properly trained individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. NOTE: If you believe that a described condition may apply to a particular vehicle, DO NOT assume that it does. See your Nissan dealer to determine if this applies to your vehicle. 1/13 SERVICE PROCEDURE NOTE: Most steps in this procedure are illustrated for the driver side of the vehicle.
