FRONT SEAT BELTS FRAYED ON EDGES —
2013-15 Outlander Sport/RVR.
Should you encounter a front seat belt that has
been frayed or damaged along the edges, inspect
to see if the area of damage aligns with
adjustment levers on the side of the seat when
the seat belt is in use. If the damaged area is near
an adjustment lever, please ensure the seat belt is
not being placed inside an adjustment lever as
this is not the proper position for the seat belt and
can cause the seat belt to become frayed.
SOFTWARE UPDATES AVAILABLE FOR
HANDS-FREE/BLUETOOTH ISSUES — All
applicable models.
Dealers are reminded to check MDL for TSBs
with the latest software to address issues with
the FUSE Hands Free Link System. The software
addresses issues with Bluetooth connection,
Apple products, and USB devices. The latest
software contains all available countermeasures
and is the only one that should be installed.
For more detail and instructions, refer to the
TSBs below:

SHIFT

LED
INSTALLATION
(MZ360248EX) — 2014-17 Outlander.
NOTE: This article is being reprinted to add 2015-17
model year Outlander vehicles.
When removing the CVT or A/T shift indicator
panel for LED installation, it is possible to
dislodge the shifter dust shield slide from its run
channel. As a result, the slider will contact other
shifter components when the transmission is
shifted from park (P), reverse (R) or neutral (N)
to drive (D) and be dislodged from its run
channels. Significant damage to the shifter dust
shield will result and the shifter assembly must
be replaced.

Dust

To reduce the possibility of damaging the dust
shield, set the parking brake and move the shift
lever to the N position prior to removing the shift
indicator panel. Make sure the wheels are
chocked to prevent the vehicle moving.
If the dust shield is dislodged from its run
channel during LED light kit installation,
reinstall it, then, confirm free movement of the
shield when shifting to D, prior to reassembly.
