Complaint:
Engine diagnosis warning lamp is active or message "Starts remaining xxx" in instrument cluster.
Cause:
The following fault codes are stored:
P2BAAFA The emission limit for the NOx concentration has been exceeded (AdBlue® consumption is too low).
P13DF00 The AdBlue® system has a malfunction.
Other possible fault codes are:
P13E300 The number of possible engine starts is limited due to a malfunction in the AdBlue® system.
Remedy:
1. If other fault codes referring to the BlueTec system are stored, these are to be processed first via the guided Xentry
test.
2. Install add-on 3254 for DVD 09/2013 or add-on 3255 for DVD 11/2013.
3. Program CDI control unit (N3/9) with new software.
4. Reset the warning message via the guided test for the above fault code or via the "Special processes" tab.
