3.5L/3.7L - ILLUMINATED MIL WITH DTC P0627 TSB 17-0011 FORD: 2015 Transit ISSUE Some 2015 Transit vehicles equipped with a 3.5L or 3.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0627 (Fuel Pump A Control Circuit/Open) stored in powertrain control module (PCM) memory. ACTION Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition. SERVICE PROCEDURE 1. Connect the Ford Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) service tool or equivalent scan tool to the data link connector (DLC). Check for DTCs. Is P0627 stored in the PCM memory? a. Yes - replace the fuel pump driver module (FPDM). Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-04. b. No - this article does not apply. Refer to Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual for normal diagnostics. 2. PART NUMBER PART NAME AA8Z-9D370-B Fuel Pump Driver Module OPERATION 170011A DESCRIPTION TIME 2015 Transit 3.5L /3.7L: Retrieve DTCs And Replace The FPDM (Do Not Use With Any Other Labor Operations) 0.4 Hr. WARRANTY STATUS: Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage And Emissions Warranty Coverage Warranty/ESP coverage limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. Warranty/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool.
