The latest version of the K196 Service Action Bulletin NO.: 6-246NAS (Issue #2) has included a
corrected listing of part numbers that should be ordered based upon the variant of the vehicle. As a
result of the original bulletin being incorrect, a number of retailers have been advised to order the
incorrect part. In conjunction with the correct bulletin, the Jaguar Parts Operations Customer Service
team will be cancelling all of the current open orders so that the correct part number may be
ordered.
New orders for these parts will be Service Action (SA) blocked, with quantities being reviewed prior
to release. More information on order blocks can be found in section A.5 of the Jaguar Parts Policies
& Procedures manual.
Reminder: Only 5% of affected vehicles are expected to need one or two replacement latches.
Retailers are not instructed to simply order 5%, but should wait to order only after a car that needs
the latches replaced is found.
If the incorrect part number has already been ordered and delivered, please contact the Jaguar Parts
Customer Service team, at 888-524-3577, to have them returned.
