Issue
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U001187 ‘Medium Speed Can Communication Bus Performance – Missing Message’ may be noted in
the Auxiliary Control Module (AUCM) during a Symptom Driven Diagnostics (SDD) fault code read.
Cause
Software calculation.
Action
If the DTC U001187 is present in the AUCM and the customer has reported a concern with the Head Up Display (HUD) functionality,
then continue with diagnostics using SDD and with reference to TOPIx.
If the customer has not reported an issue with the HUD system, then the DTC can be dis-regarded and no further investigation into its
origin required
