Content
Issue: Customer may report white crystals found around SCR filler neck in the luggage area.
Cause: Early build process weakness within Jaguar XF production facility where SCR/Adblue has potential to leak onto vehicle rear luggage
compartment & surrounding areas of trim.
Action: To clean off any crystallisation of SCR/Adblue fluid please carry out the following steps:
1. To remove crystallised substance, use small brush and vacuum cleaner to remove excess solid material from all surfaces (including
exposed metallic surfaces & electrical connections)
2. To clean trim surfaces, using a warm damp cloth thoroughly clean off crystallisation and dry affected area immediately afterwards.
Please note:
DEF is a non-toxic fluid & is non-corrosive in a crystallised solid state. After cleaning of metallic surfaces some cosmetic
corrosion may appear. This has no lasting or damaging effects on the vehicle structure or systems.
DO NOT use non-absorbent cloth
DO NOT use water when cleaning off electrical connections
