EXHAUST MANIFOLD BRACKET INSPECTION
AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PURPOSE
Specific 2015 Outlander Sport vehicles may have been assembled without an exhaust manifold support
bracket. If the bracket is not installed, the manifold may crack after being in long-term operation. Dealers
who have received affected vehicles will be contacted individually and requested to inspect and, if necessary, install the missing bracket. Instructions follow:
REQUIRED TOOLS

Ratchet and socket
•
Torque wrench
REQUIRED PARTS
Contact Techline for parts release. Parts will be shipped overnight.

Qty. 1: Exhaust Manifold Bracket - P/N 1555A495
•
Qty. 2: Bolt - P/N MF247891
/ INSPECTION PROCEDURE
Visually inspect from under the vehicle (see attached
photos).
From underneath the vehicle, the inspection area is on
the passenger's side of the vehicle centerline, above the
front cross member, where the manifold bolts to the
exhaust pipe (see photo in step 2).
If the bracket is installed, submit a warranty claim for
inspection only. See the Warranty Information section of
these instructions.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
If no bracket is installed, install a bracket using two
bolts.

Contact Techline to obtain parts.
3.
Install the bracket using 2 bolts (provided).
Torque to 15-25 Nm (12-18 ft lbs).
