This TIN is being revised to clarify that K-Line reprogramming will continue to be performed
with MUT-111, not MUT-111 SE.
AFFECTED VEHICLES: All Models
PURPOSE
A MEDIC update (number M3445) has been posted for MUT-III SE that is designed to improve your
technicians' efficiency and productivity. ALL CAN reprogramming will be performed with
MUT-111 SE, instead of MUT-III, from this update forward. The reprogramming process with
MUT-III SE is much more efficient, and easier to use than MUT-II1. Be sure to download this latest
update to keep up with the improved features MUT-III SE provides.
K-Line reprogramming will transition to MUT-111 SE in the future. Until then, please continue to use
MUT-111 for reprogramming on all K-Line vehicles.
For help identifying K-Line and CAN vehicles, refer to the "Reprogramming System Identification"
chart on MDL, under "service -> service tech resources -> Service Related Items -> Worksheets,
Questionnaires, Job Aids-> Job Aids." (A copy is also included at the end of this TIN.)
The MUT-III SE reprogramming procedure is very similar to MUT-III, but is much more intuitive with
fewer screens to navigate. Below are the initial steps to start a reprogramming procedure.
1. Open the MUT-III SE main page, and click the "STV" button.

2. Make all appropriate selections in the System Select screen. Notice that more vehicle
information is filled in automatically.
