A small volume of 14 MY Evoque (L538) are flagging the following TCM DTC codes P07D4-07 or P2704-07 or P07E7-07 during SDD
DTC read (which are all related to 9HP48 automatic transmission).
.
Cause:
Internal transmission diagnostics have been triggered. Further investigation is required by JLR.
Action:
Check the transmission serial number (TSN)
This is visible without component removal.




If DTC P07D4-07 and/or P2704-07 are stored and the TSN is below VIN 63584, replace the transmission.
If DTC P07D4-07 and/or P2704-07 are stored and the TSN is 63584 or above, repair as per Topix instructions.
If DTC P07E7-07 is stored and the TSN is below 81206, replace the transmission.
If DTC P07E7-07 is stored and the vin is 81206 or above please check the software level of the transmission control module. If the
software level is earlier that the ones listed below, update the software. If the software is at or above this level, replace the
transmission.
