Product Update: 2014-15 Accord FHEV CVS Error Detection Update
Today, September 4, 2015, American Honda is announcing a product update for 6,786 Accord FHEV vehicles to update
the high pressure battery cell monitoring system (CVS).
Basic Problem
The CVS software may not be sufficiently tough against electrical noise from the inverter and motor circuits. This may
cause the vehicle to default to a fail-safe EV-only mode, reducing power output.
The Repair
Update CVS with enhanced software.
Service Bulletin
Service bulletins 15-057, Product Update: /MA Cell Voltage Sensor (CVS) Software has been posted to the Service
Information System today in support of this campaign. It includes software, warranty and update information related to
this product update.
Software Information
HOS Software Version:
3.016.033 or later
Control Module (CM) Update:
Application Version V3.01 .42 or later
Database Update 25 Jun 2015 or later
Parts Information
This is a software-only campaign; there are no associated parts.
Client Notification
American Honda expects to notify owners of affected vehicles at the end of September.
