REVISION SUMMARY
The CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION section was added.
BACKGROUND
On a small number of HR-Vs, the vehicle's tire certification label on the driver's doorjamb and the A/C and emission
certification labels under the hood may be missing or have incorrect information listed. This would cause the vehicle to
be noncom pliant with Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations, section 571.110, "Tire selection and Rims ... " and
various emissions regulations.
For reporting purposes, there are three noncompliance recalls for checking labels:
15-052, Noncompliance Recall: HR-V Emission, Tire, and AIC Labels - Check that all three labels are present, and also
check the vehicle trim on the emission label.
15-053, Noncompliance Recall: HR-V Emission Label - Check that the emission label is present and check the model
year on the emission label.
15-054, Noncompliance Recall: HR-V Emission (Trim and Year), Tire, and AIC Labels - Check that all three labels are
present and also check the vehicle trim and model year on the emission label.
Do the applicable campaign as indicated in the iN VIN status inquiry.
CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION
Owners of affected vehicles will be sent a notification of this campaign.
Do an iN VIN status inquiry to make sure the vehicle is shown as eligible.
Some vehicles affected by this campaign may be in your used vehicle inventory. These vehicles must be repaired
before they are sold.
Should your dealership sell an unrepaired vehicle that subsequently causes injury or damage because of the recalled
item, the dealership will be solely responsible to the damaged party, and will be required to defend and indemnify
American Honda for any resulting claims. To see if a vehicle in inventory is affected by this recall, do a VIN status
inquiry before selling it.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Inspect the emission, A/C, and tire label and, if necessary, replace any incorrect labels or apply any missing labels.
CUSTOMER INFORMATION: The information in this bulletin is intended for use only by skilled technicians who have the proper tools,
equipment, and training to correctly and safely maintain your vehicle. These procedures should not be attempted by "do-it-yourselfers," and you
should not assume this bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle has the condition described. To determine whether this information
applies, contact an authorized Honda automobile dealer.

ordering a new one.
There are a small number of vehicles that will need an A/C or tire label. Both labels are available through the normal
