Background:
Currently for 2003-2004 Odyssey there are two related SRS unit recalls:

:SRS Unit”. Repair procedure is due in late summer.
Today:
American Honda is announcing service bulletin 15-026 “SRS Unit Col
l
ection”for a small number of 2003 Odyssey
vehicles that overlaps the Safety Recalls indicated above. American Honda is proactively reaching out to customers
eligible for this collection procedure. Eligible vehicles can be identified through VIN status inquiry. Repair, parts and
warranty procedures are outlined in S/B 15-026. Please note that SRS unit kits are controlled parts, and must be ordered
accordingly. Once a sufficient number of parts have been collected, American Honda will cancel this activity, and vehicles
will no longer show as eligible through VIN inquiry.
This activity involves removing and replacing the SRS unit kit, and returning the original unit kit to American Honda for
analysis. Your timely processing of warranty claims and SRS unit kit returns to W PI are needed to support this proj
ect.
IMPORTANT:
Please be aware that when the VIN status inquiry is performed the following Recalls m ayappear for a single vehicle:
15-026 SRS Unit Collection
13-088 Safety Recall: Electrical Noise May Cause Inadvertent Front Airbag Deployment
15-013 Safety Recall: SRS Unit
W hen any of the listed Recalls above are indicated in conj
unction with15-026 “SRS Unit Collection”, perform only 15-026.
Once this Recall is performed and the warranty claim is received it will satisfy all of these listed Recalls. American Honda
will subsequently cancel the remaining Recall(s)and they will no longer show when a VIN Status Inquiry is performed for
this vehicle.
As always, be sure to verify a vehicle’s eligibility prior to starting any work or ordering any parts, and to confirm whether
any other outstanding Recalls besides those addressed here exist.
