***** Detailed Information *****
On January 31, 2017, Nissan announced a Quality Assurance Hold certain MY2017 Sentra
(B17) vehicles. These vehicles are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in
transit to the dealer.
An inspection procedure is now available. Nissan is requesting that dealers inspect the
accelerator pedal part lot number on all affected inventory and, if necessary, remedy
affected inventory using the procedure included with this announcement. The quality hold
can be released once the vehicle inspection and, if necessary, repair has been completed.
***** What Dealers Should Do *****
1. Verify if vehicles currently in dealer inventory are affected by this inventory service
action using Service Comm I.D. PM666.
 New vehicles in dealer inventory can be also be identified using DCS
(Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign).
 Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information
2. Use the attached procedure to inspect the part lot number, and if matched, replace the
subject part.
 If part replacement is not needed, dealers may submit the inspection claim,
and release the vehicle for sale with no further action.
 If part replacement is needed, dealers will need to order parts using an SVC
order in DCS.
 Once the vehicle has been repaired, submit the claim, using the
claims coding provided in the repair procedure, and release the
vehicle. Do not submit the claim until parts have been received
and the vehicle has been remedied.
 Parts replaced under this campaign activity may be collected. Follow
the attached inspection procedure prior to determining the
necessity of replacing any parts.
NOTE: Dealers should continue to check new arriving inventory for
applicability.
3. Dealers are requested to inspect and, if necessary, remedy any affected vehicle in
dealer new or pre-owned inventory prior to sale to ensure customer satisfaction.
