SERVICE INFORMATION
A mid-year change has been made to the ignition system in the Applied Vehicles.
Vehicles produced November 3, 2016 and after (see VIN information on page 2) are equipped with a pushbutton ignition switch instead of a turning ignition switch.
See page 2 to view images of both ignition switches.
In addition, vehicles equipped with the push-button ignition switch include a feature that automatically unlocks
all doors when the ignition is turned OFF.
WARNING:

Do NOT retrofit the push-button ignition switch to vehicles produced before the application date. Please
reference Infiniti Parts and Service Bulletin IPSB/16-422.

Modifications to the ignition switch are unauthorized, and may violate Federal law by making
inoperative a device installed in compliance with Federal safety standards.

Damage or failure due to changes or modifications to the ignition switch system are not covered under
the terms of the warranty.

Damage or failure due to changes or modifications to the ignition switch system are not subject to
indemnification under the terms of the Infiniti Dealer Sales and Service Agreement.

Retailers may be obligated under their Sales and Service Agreement to indemnify Infiniti for any
damages, injuries, or deaths caused by modification of the ignition switch system.
Infiniti Bulletins are intended for use by qualified technicians, not 'do-it-yourselfers'. Qualified technicians are properly trained
individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. NOTE: If you believe
that a described condition may apply to a particular vehicle, DO NOT assume that it does. See your Infiniti retailer to determine if this
applies to your vehicle.
