There is a possibility that the adhesive material on the affected vehicles was not fitted in accordance with the instructions due to a manufacturing problem. As a result, noises can occur in the roof-assembly area over the service life of the vehicle. Action Required: Check the roof-assembly bonding and rework it if necessary. Affected Vehicles: The VIN(s) can be checked by using PIWIS Vehicle Information link to verify if the campaign affects the vehicle. This campaign is scope specific to the VIN! Continue with Step 3 If there is an adhesive bead along the entire length, re-install the headliner. Continue with Step 5. 3 Unscrew fastening nuts Fastening nuts on roof assembly -1- on the roof assembly at front and rear. 4 Install roof assembly with new roof joint cover strip as described in the Workshop Manual.
