Introduction
Some 2010 – 2013 model year Highlander vehicles may exhibit a condition in which the driver
side or passenger side Sun Visor may move from the stowed position, or may not completely
stow flush against the headliner. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address
this concern.

 This repair is covered under the Toyota Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months
or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.
 Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in
this bulletin.

1. Confirm the condition described in the Introduction is present.
2. Replace the Sun Visor.
Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model and model year
Repair Manual:

2010 Highlander:
Vehicle Interior – Interior Panels/Trim – “Interior: Roof Headlining: Removal /
Installation”

2011 Highlander:


