Bulletin No.: PIC5728A Date: Oct-2012 Subject: False Low Beam Failure Message Displayed Models: 2013 Cadillac ATS This PI was superseded to update recommended field. Please discard PIC5728. The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI. Condition/Concern Important: This PI covers a condition in which a message is displayed incorrectly. All exterior lamps will continue to function correctly if this condition presents itself. On rare occasions a customer may comment that the DIC displayed either Right or Left Low Beam Failure but that all of the exterior lights continue to function normally. The vehicle may have stored any of the following DTCs: B257C B257D U1501 U1502 U1511 U1512 U1521 U1522 U1531 U1532. Recommendation/Instructions Important: This condition will not affect lamp operation. Program the Body Control Module (BCM) with the latest calibrations available in TIS2WEB following published Body Control Module Programming and Setup procedures found in SI. Warranty Information For vehicles repaired under warranty use: Labor Operation Description Labor Time N4808 Body Control Module Reprogramming with SPS Use Published Labor Operation Time Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
