Bulletin No.: PIT5194 Date: Dec-2012 Subject: Rear Air Suspension Leans To One Side After Repairs Models: 2003-2009 Hummer H2 The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI. Condition/Concern Some owners may comment that after some type of service work to the rear suspension, it no longer sits level. If the Tech 2 is used to perform the Special Function "Calibrate Trim Height" the rear suspension may sit level at first, but once the vehicle is driven it will become unleveled. Recommendation/Instructions This concern could be caused by the rear air spring lines installed incorrectly to the air inlet valves. The right air spring line should connect to the air inlet valve on the right side and the left air spring line should connect to the air inlet valve on the left side. See example below of a dual stage compressor items 5 and 6, single stage compressor is similar. 1 1. C451 2. Air Suspension Compressor 1 Connector 3. Air Suspension Compressor 2 Connector 4. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information. 2 WE SUPPORT VOLUNTARY TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION 3
