Bulletin No.: PIC5675A
Date: Feb-2015
Subject:
Auto Door Lock/Unlock Feature Is Inoperative and/or Power Locks Cycle
Models:
2013-2015 Chevrolet Malibu
This PI was superseded to update Models. Please discard PIC5675.
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern
A customer or technician may comment that the Auto Door Lock/Unlock Feature Is Inoperative and/or Power Locks Cycle. DTC's B3125, B3130 and B3135
symptom code 02 could be set.
The 2012 to present Buick LaCrosse and 2013 to present Chevrolet Malibu share the same driver’s door latch part number but the linkages that connect the
latch to the door key lock cylinder, lock button and the external door handle are different for each vehicle. If the vehicles happen to be built with the incorrect
linkage or linkages this concern may be present.
Recommendation/Instructions
Please remove the door latch assembly and check the rod. See the photos below to determine linkage configuration and replace the door lock cylinder to latch
rod as required. Reference the Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) to determine the correct rod to order / install.

GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may
occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools,
safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that
your vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
