Bulletin No.: PIT5463A Date: Dec-2015 Subject: Red LED And Current B1447-04 After Performing Canada Upgrade Bulletin 15-08-44-001 Models: 2006 Chevrolet Impala 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo This PI was superseded to update Recommendation/Instructions and Warranty Information. Please discard PIT5463. Condition/Concern A technician may notice a red led and current B1447-04 after performing OnStar Canada Upgrade Bulletin 15-08-44-001 and completing the OnStar setup and Activation. Recommendation/Instructions Verify that that there is harness for the OnStar Back Up Battery (BUB) in the vehicle. Install a new BUB in the vehicle. Cycle the ignition, cancel RAP and verify that the B1447-04 is no longer current. Clear the code. Continue with the rest of the upgrade If there is no harness for the BUB, contact GM Technical Assistance and select the OnStar prompt for further assistance.
