BACKGROUND
Electrical noise (interference) generated by the vehicle may inadvertently cause some or all of the vehicle’s airbags to
deploy. Many vehicles had an electrical noise suppressor installed under S/B 13-088, Safety Recall: Electrical Noise
May Cause Inadvertent Front Airbag Deployment. In rare cases, even with the noise suppressor installed, some front
airbags inadvertently deployed.
All vehicles will be recalled again to have a new SRS control unit installed.
If you have a vehicle eligible for S/B 13-088 arrive at your dealership, complete the repair by installing a noise
suppressor. Once there are a sufficient number of SRS units available, this bulletin will be revised and customers will be
notified to bring their vehicles back to a Honda dealership to replace the SRS unit.
This bulletin will be revised once repair procedure, parts information, and warranty claim
information become available.
