SAFETY RECALL
Wheelchair Lifts on certain AE, BE, CE, FE and RE
school bus models built 02 January 2006 thru 23
September 2014 with Ricon Public Use, "S" 2000
and 5500 Series lifts.
DEFECT DESCRIPTION
The platforms included on the subject S-Series model wheelchair lifts are
equipped with folding link arms that may have pivot holes that are too big,
allowing the bearings to move out of position. If the bearings move out of
position, the stowed platform may have excessive movement resulting in failure
of the platform mounting. This failure could cause the wheelchair lift platform to
fall out of the vehicle when the doors are opened, increasing the risk of injury to
the lift operator.
MODELS INVOLVED
This Safety Recall involves certain AE, BE, CE, FE, and RE school bus models
built 02 January 2006 thru 23 September 2014 with Ricon Public Use,"S" 2000
and 5500 Series lifts.
ELIGIBILITY
This procedure applies ONLY to vehicles on which the customer has received a
letter for NHTSA Recall 15V-868 or Transport Canada Recall 2015-611. Also
complete any other open campaigns listed on the International® Service PortalSM
at this time.

NOTE: All vehicles still incomplete under Safety Recall 14518 will require
both campaigns to be performed.

The decals containing the lift serial number are located on top of the right arm
and also the inner side of the hydraulic cylinder (Figure 1).

CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL
Each vehicle corrected in accordance with this
campaign must be marked with a CTS-1075
Campaign Identification Label.
Complete the label and attach on a clean surface
next to the vehicle identification number (VIN) plate.
