Fuel Door Sticking Closed in Cold Weather

INTRODUCTION:
This bulletin provides part number and design change information regarding the fuel door (saucer)
assembly which may not open properly due to ice accumulation in sub-freezing conditions.
PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION:
The new saucer assembly was incorporated into production during mid-August, 2017.
PART INFORMATION:
The part number for the new “SAUCER COMPLETE SDN” is: 51478AL01D.
The illustrations below provide a comparison between the “NEW” and “OLD” -style parts. The
change involves a change made to the base of the hinge portion to improve drainage and prevent
water accumulation. In sub-freezing temperatures, ice can form causing the fuel door to not open
properly.
