Introduction
The gage cluster software may need flashed after cluster has been replaced.
Problem
The transmission oil temperature gage reads maximum when a new gage cluster is installed.
Solution
The gage cluster should not be replaced when transmission oil temperature reads maximum after new
cluster is installed. The cluster should be flashed to the 1.3 software for NON SCR trucks. SCR trucks
have the correct software installed. There is one cluster tool per service representative. The service
representative will have to be contacted to get the tool. The 1.3 software will make the cluster learn
the transmission type on every key cycle.
