Condition
• The following warning messages for the exterior lighting system are displayed in the driver information cluster:
• “Audi adaptive light: problem!”
• “Left dipped beam faulty”
• “Right dipped beam faulty”
• The messages are sporadically displayed immediately after engine start.
• The headlights function correctly at all times.
• The following DTCs are stored:
• In the vehicle electrical system control module, J519 (address word 09):
- DTC U112300 (Data bus, received error value)
• In the headlamp range control module, J431 (address word 55):
- DTC B121713 (Lamp for left dipped beam, interruption)
- DTC U112300 (Data bus, received error value (symptom 13706046))
- DTC U112300 (Data bus, received error value (symptom 13706047))
Technical Background
Software-related issue in in the headlamp range control module, J431 (address word 55).
Production Solution
Updated software was introduced into series production.
