Condition
A rattling noise is heard from the left front area of the vehicle when both of the following conditions are present:
• During hard/aggressive acceleration in first or second gear.
• After a cold start, with the noise disappearing after the vehicle reaches operating temperature.
Note:
This bulletin only applies to vehicles matching this condition. Do not perform this bulletin if the complaint does not
exactly match the condition.
Technical Background
The noise is caused by the left front driveshaft.
Production Solution
Not applicable.
Service
1. Before proceeding, test drive the vehicle to duplicate the noise and to confirm that the noise is coming from the
left front driveshaft area.
2. Replace the left front driveshaft.
