DTC P046100 (Fuel level sensor, circuit range/performance) is stored in the engine control module (ECM) (J623) (address word 0001). Technical Background DTC P046100 can be caused by miscalculations within the ECM software when the vehicle is being filled with gasoline while the ignition is on. Service IMPORTANT: Check the vehicle ECM software part number/version prior to the SVM update. SVM Update Instructions 1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732, 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions. 2. Update the ECM (J623) (address word 0001) using the SVM action code as listed in the table below. 3. After SVM update, cycle the ignition. 4. Start the engine. If engine runs rough and then surges, cycle the ignition once again. 5. Reset TPMS.
