Condition
The vehicle does not operate in electric driving mode, the combustion engine does not switch off although the
high-voltage battery is fully charged.
The vehicle is ready for operation (Hybrid ready is shown). When selecting the driving mode the combustion
engine starts.
Technical Background
The vehicle cannot be driven electrically or the combustion engine does not switch off because the mixture
adaptation has not yet been completed.
The mixture adaptation values (programmed values) are reset after updating the engine control unit or deleting
the entry.
After resetting the programmed values, a replacement program of the mixture adaptation values is necessary.

Service
Reprogram the mixture adaptation values as follows:
1. Warm up the combustion engine, engage the handbrake.
2. Press the accelerator pedal, 2 seconds kickdown (if the combustion engine is not running yet).
3. Select test plan via the guided functions CHJA – Engine (RG.)1; 10-18) >> 01 Engine Electronics | J623
>> 01 – Engine Electronics, functions >> Generating readiness code 01 engine electronics.

4. Operate accelerator pedal and brakes (engine speed must be increased a few times, after about 90
seconds the values are successfully programmed).
5. Switch off the engine.
