• A creaking noise is heard from the left front side of the vehicle.
• The noise is more noticeable in colder weather.
• The noise can clearly be heard at load change.
Technical Background
Relative movement in the lengthways transmission mount cause the creaking noise.
Production Solution
Optimized gearbox mounting in production.
Service
Use chassis ears to confirm that the noise is from the transmission mount. Once confirmed, replace the
transmission mount and verify the repair.
