Original publication
• When the vehicle is in Coming Home mode, the right LED daytime running light is sporadically inoperative.
• The daytime running lights and fog lights operate correctly.
• The front fog lights and the left daytime running light work correctly.
• DTC 02746 (Right daytime running lamp bulb) with fault symptom 007 (Short circuit to ground) is stored in the
vehicle electrical system control module, J519 (address word 09).
Tip: Coming Home mode is a convenience function that allows the front lights (headlights or daytime
running lights) and taillights to remain on for a defined time (up to 60 seconds) when the vehicle is exited.

Technical Background
Different current cycles between the left and right headlamps in the first 100µs after the Coming Home function is
activated cause the right daytime running light to be switched off.
Production Solution
Improved vehicle electrical system control module installed in production.
Service
The J519 control module cannot be updated and must be replaced. Do not replace either headlamp for this
condition.
Replace the J519 control module with one of the following updated versions, depending on factory equipment.
Reference ETKA for the correct part number:
• 4F0910279AG: For vehicles equipped with power adjustable steering column (PR Code 2C7)
• 4F0910279AH: For vehicles equipped with manually adjustable steering column (PR Code 2C5)
Tip: When adapting the daytime running lamps on the replacement module, leave the default setting as Off.
Changing this setting can result in static DTCs (DTC 01494 and 01498) in J519. For information on changing the
default setting, reference TSB #2023283.
