Tip: Coming Home mode is a convenience function that allows the front lights (headlights or daytime running lights) and taillights to remain on for a defined time (up to 60 seconds) when the vehicle is exited. © 2015 Audi of America, Inc. Technical Service Bulletin Technical Background Different current cycles between the left and right headlamps in the first 100µs after the Coming Home function is activated cause the right daytime running light to be switched off. Production Solution Improved vehicle electrical system control module installed in production. Service The J519 control module cannot be updated and must be replaced. Do not replace either headlamp for this condition. Replace the J519 control module with one of the following updated versions, depending on factory equipment. Reference ETKA for the correct part number: • 4F0910279AG: For vehicles equipped with power adjustable steering column (PR Code 2C7) • 4F0910279AH: For vehicles equipped with manually adjustable steering column (PR Code 2C5) Tip: When adapting the daytime running lamps on the replacement module, leave the default setting as Off. Changing this setting can result in static DTCs (DTC 01494 and 01498) in J519. For information on changing the default setting, reference TSB #2023283. © 2015 Audi of America, Inc.
