2015-2016 Golf, Golf GTI Sunroof Frame Replacement Repair
Procedure
If a sunroof frame track is determined to be faulty and in need of replacement, please follow the ELSA
repair procedure for “Slotted Guide Rail Guide, Removing and Installing” under repair group 60.
Please note: The repair procedure “Sunroof Frame, Removing and Installing, Sedan” under repair group
60 involves removing the lower sunroof pan from the vehicle and is not the correct procedure for removing
the track.
If the glass can’t be moved to access the mounting bolts, first follow the repair procedure “Glass Panel,
Removing, Defective Drive Motor, Sedan” in repair group 60 to remove the sunroof glass, then the frame
can be removed from the vehicle. Please refer to January 2016 Tech Talk for more information.
