Tech tips: no crank, no start after cold soak
Tech Tips Date: January 30, 2015 TT 27-15-01 2014-2015 Passat, Jetta, Touareg - No Crank, No Start After Cold Soak March 6, 2015: Update to Model Year/Information. Concern may be the result of a leaking vacuum check valve not holding residual pressure overnight. This results in a hard brake pedal that may require more pressure than usual to allow the vehicle to crank. If duplicated, replace the vacuum supply line to the power brake booster, as the check valve is integral to the line. This will not affect power brake operation while driving.
