Model Year New TIPM Repair Kits 2011 7B0998049B 2012 7B0998049 2013 7B0998049A The TIPM module replacements for MY11–MY13 have a new software modification that requires the wiring to be modified for the turn signals. Each kit will contain instructions on how to modify the wiring. You can also reference TT 2038940 for modification instructions. Back to top Reminder: Improvements to Technical Information Titles in ElsaPro Today you will see changes to a couple links and folder names related to the Technical Service Handbook section of Elsa. These changes were made in response to technician feedback to help clarify where certain content can be found. Here is a quick list of the changes: On the home page of Elsa, the Systems menu link “Notes” is renamed “Special Repair Information”. The folder titled “Vehicle-specific service information” is retitled “Special Repair Information”. The “Technical Product Information” folder, which contains the Technical Bulletins, will be properly retitled “Technical Service Bulletins”. The “Service TPI” folder will be retitled “Technical Product Information”. Back to top Tech Tips 37-14-01 No Mechatronic Communication DTC 01315 Model(s) Year Eng.Code Trans.Code Passat/CC, Eos, Beetle, GTI/Golf 2014–2015 All All For communication faults set in various modules indicating loss of, or no communication with the mechatronic, please inspect the barrel connector lock for proper installation. If you find that the connector was not properly secured, inspect the terminals for damage. If no damage is found, reconnect the barrel connector and clear the faults. 91-14-05 Turn Signals Will Not Activate after TIPM Replacement Model(s) Year Eng.Code Trans.Code Routan 2011–2013 All All The replacement Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) contains revised software that changes the TIPM operation and alters the front exterior lighting of the vehicle. The vehicle wiring may need to be modified to maintain turn signal operation. Tip: Each repair kit comes with modification instructions.
