Condition
The customer may state the yellow warning for electric parking brake (EPB) appeared once in the instrument
cluster, but the warning turned OFF after cycling the ignition and there have been no additional occurrences.
-ORThe customer may state the adaptive cruise control (ACC) was inoperative once, but resumed operating properly
after cycling the ignition and there have been no additional occurrences.
One of the DTCs shown below is stored in the EPB module, address word 53:
Power supply of right control unit channel - implausible signal (internal code 25)
-ORPower supply of left control unit channel - - implausible signal (internal code 24)

Technical Background
The concern is due to a software glitch in the EPB control module. Concerns related to this software glitch can
only occur once. Replacing the EPB module may cause an additional occurrence.
Production Solution
A software solution is in development.
Service
The entry occurs only once. If the control unit is replaced, the complaint could occur again.
