2015 Beetle, Golf, Passat, Jetta EA288 TDI, with engine codes
CVCA, CRUA-Yellow Engine Oil Light coming ON
The EA288 TDI has a newly designed dipstick. Before adding oil to a MY15 EA288 engine, either at PDI
or a service visit, please familiarize yourself with the new design.
Reference Technical Service Bulletin 2037201 and the VW IQ for Techs video “Engine Oil Level” that
cover the proper reading of the new TDI Dipstick. It is important that the oil level be kept within the normal
operating range, as overfilling of the crankcase can result in oil service warnings for the customer.
