Tech Tips Date: September 16, 2016 TT 87-16-03 2016 Jetta, Beetle, Beetle Convertible, Passat – AC Refrigerant Circuit Flushing using Expansion Valve 1K0820679E When flushing is necessary for vehicles with expansion valve 1K0820679E, you must use the vehicles expansion valve as the flush adaptor. Carefully drill out the expansion valve as described in the Elsa repair manual, under Refrigerant Circuit Flushing. Install a new expansion valve on the vehicle after flushing is completed.
