Production Solution
No changes to production have been made after Sep 3, 2012, as no issue has been identified.
Service
1. Verify the customer complaint matches the Condition described at the top of this TSB. Complaints not related
to the Condition described in this TSB do not require TAC authorization.
2. Verify the vehicle’s build date is on or after Sep 3, 2012. For vehicles built before this date, see TSB 2027636.
3. If the vehicle is within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, complete the attached Brake Noise Questionnaire.
4. Obtain a sound recording of the brake noise (a cell phone recording is acceptable as long as the noise can be
clearly identified).
5. Email the questionnaire and sound recording to: [email protected]. A sound recording is necessary to help
determine the root cause of the noise and to help resolve the concern.
6. Contact a TAC consultant before proceeding with any repairs.
Warranty
This TSB is informational only and not applicable to any Audi warranty.
