Condition
One of the following conditions is present:
• The message “Headlight range control: System error” is shown in the driver information system, but there is no
limitation with the headlight system. The headlight system operates normally.
• The message “Audi side assist: Currently not available” is shown in the driver information system. The Audi
side assist system will be unavailable in the current ignition cycle, but cycling the ignition resolves the concern
and Audi side assist will be available again.
Technical Background
Incorrect software in the onboard supply control unit, J519 (address word 09) BCM1.
Production Solution
New software implemented in series production.
Service
1. Check the software version of the onboard supply control unit, J519 (address word 09) to determine if it is
affected. Only software versions 0173 and 0174 are affected.
2. Confirm that the following DTC is stored (either static or sporadic) in the onboard supply control unit, J519
(address word 09) and/or in the lane change assistance control module, J769 (address word 3C):
• DTC U112100 (Databus missing message)
3. If the software version is affected and the DTC is stored, update the onboard supply control unit, J519 (address
word 09) using the SVM Update Instructions below.
4. If the DTC remains static after the SVM update, follow the suggested GFF test plan.

Updates to the onboard supply control unit through the VAS5054 should only be performed in USB mode.
Bluetooth mode is not permitted.
SVM Update Instructions
1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the onboard supply control unit, J519 (address word 09) using the SVM action code as listed in the
table below, if necessary.
