The gearbox is in limp mode until key is cycled. Fault P17E100 (DFCC 9473) is stored in transmission control unit. The DFCC is the 4-6 digit code that is typically listed before the fault code (Figure 1). Figure 1. To verify that the vehicle’s condition matches the condition above, delete the fault entry and perform a test drive: • If the complaint recurs or if the fault entry cannot be deleted, this PSS TSB does not apply and should not be followed. Follow guided fault finding test plan. • If the fault entry clears and does not return, follow these instructions: 1. Diagnose the vehicle according to the instructions listed below. If customer’s vehicle condition matches the condition listed in the Technical Background of this PSS TSB, explain to the customer that a solution is forthcoming and that no repairs are necessary at this point. 2. Do not replace any components for this condition since this will not resolve the customer’s concern. 3.
