Technical Service Bulletin Technical Background There is an issue with the software in the EPB control module that occurs one time. Because the issue only occurs once, replacing the control module could cause an additional occurrence. In the A4, A5 and Q5, EPB control modules with the following part numbers are affected: • 8K0.907.801.J • 8K0.907.801.K • 8K0.907.801 L Production Solution Modified EPB control module software from: A6(C7), A7 (C7), & A8 (D4): Vehicles produced from week 22/13 A4(B8), A5 (B8) and Q5(B8): Vehicles produced from week 22/13 Service 1. Delete the DTC and do not replace the control module. 2. Explain to the customer that the software issue can only occur one time, so replacing the control module is not necessary, as doing so may cause the condition to occur again.
