Both of the following conditions are present:
• The rearview camera does not work. No rearview camera
image is shown. Only the parking aid ultrasonic sensor
map is shown in the MMI (Figure 1).
• DTC B200500 (Data Record Invalid) is logged in the rearview camera control unit, J772 (address word 6C).

Technical Background
DTC B200500 indicates that the parameter data stored in the control unit is incorrect. This DTC is incorrectly set in
the control unit. As a result, it disables the functionality of the rear-view camera.

Service
Update the software of the rear-view camera control unit, J772 (address word 6C), then calibrate the rear-view
camera system after the software update is completed.
SVM Update Instructions
1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the J772 control unit using the SVM code as listed in the table below if necessary.
3. After update, verify that the rearview camera is working by backing the car into a parking spot and ensuring that
the guidelines are aligned and that the relative distance of the rear of the car to any obstacles appears okay.
