The low beams operate correctly. • A warning may appear in the instrument cluster. • The following DTCs may be present in the central electrics control module, J519 (address word 09): • DTC 003206 (Activation of Right Low Beam Reflector - electrical malfunction in circuit) • DTC 003205 (Activation of Left Low Beam Reflector - electrical malfunction in circuit) Technical Background The connection for the high beam shutter is not connected in the affected headlight. Technical Service Bulletin Service 1. Remove the affected headlight and open the service cap. 2. Check the connectors (Figure 1) to see if they are securely connected. Figure 1. Connectors to be checked. 3. If any connector is loose, inspect it for damage. If no damage is found, re-secure the connector. If it cannot be re-secured, replace the headlight. Note: When re-securing the connection, do not use a screwdriver or other metal object. 4. Re-connect the headlight and check the repair: • If the concern is no longer present, re-install the bumper cover, adjust the headlight(s), and complete GFF. • If the concern is still present, continue with diagnosis. © 2014 Audi of America, Inc.
