 IMPORTANT
Use this information bulletin to variant code the premium navigation (DIS-Jog Dial) system
after replacement.
Description: This bulletin describes the procedure to variant code the Genesis Sedan (DH)
navigation system. If the variant coding procedure is not performed after the navigation unit is
replaced and vehicle is in the Reverse gear, a black/blank screen, black and white image, or no
image may be displayed.
Gear is in Reverse
Applicable Vehicles:

Black Screen, Black & White, or no image
All 2015 ~ 2016MY Genesis Sedan (DH) vehicles equipped with the
premium navigation (DIS – Jog Dial) system.
Warranty Information: Normal warranty applies where applicable.

Press the START STOP BUTTON (A) to

vehicle.

SYSTEM INFO icon (D).

Press and hold the VISUAL CUE CENTER
icon (E) for more than 5 seconds to access
the Dealer Mode screen.

Select the SEND icon (I).

Confirm the following have been checked 
in the System screen menu. If not checked,
select the box to apply the check.
1. Navigation
2. iBox
3. MOST AMP
4. Radio Region Code 2
5. Lexicon
6. Advanced Cluster
7. Parking Assistant 1
8. HUD

Select the SEND icon (J) after the (8)
selections in Step 11 are checked.

Press the HOME button (K).

Confirm the rear view camera operation.
Press the START STOP BUTTON (L) to turn
the ignition “OFF”.
Wait for at least 10 seconds, then depress
the brake pedal, and press the START
STOP BUTTON (L) again to restart the
vehicle.

Depress the brake pedal then put the
gearshift lever in the Reverse gear. Confirm
that the appropriate rear view image appears
on the display.
