Front Spring Breakage
VAH
SP 721-005, Front Spring Breakage
(October 2013)
Note: Information is subject to change without notice.
Illustrations are used for reference only and may differ slightly from the actual vehicle being
serviced. However, key components addressed in this information are represented as
accurately as possible.
It has been discovered on some VAH vehicles that the front springs can over travel. Over time
this can lead to breakage of the spring leaf. A spacer plate will be installed to increase the
height of the suspension bumpstops to limit spring travel.
