Certain VOLVO VN and VAH trucks built between 01/05/2015 and 01/08/2015, may have the
incorrect Vehicle Emission Control Information label installed in the driver’s side jam.
Replacement of the Vehicle Emission Control Information label with a new label (part number
82783085) is necessary to correct this issue. Follow the label replacement procedures
outlined in this Service Program (SP).
To order this replacement label, call 1-877-986-5862 and provide the following information: 17
digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Product Improvement Number (SP897–003), Dealer
Code, and the Purchase Order (PO) Information.

group 30, "General Safety Practices, Electrical" before performing this procedure. If you
are not properly trained and certified in this procedure, ask your supervisor for training
before you perform it.

1 Park the vehicle on a flat and level surface.
2 Apply the parking brake.
3 Place the transmission in neutral or park.
4 Install the wheel chocks.

Vehicle Emission Control Information Label Replacement
Procedure
1 Open the driver’s side door.
2 Locate the existing label inside the driver’s side door jam.
3 Remove the existing label, clean and prepare the surface for installation of the
replacement label (part number 82783085).
4 Install the replacement label as shown in the figure below.

5 Close the driver’s side door.
