Service Technical Information 20/16 ENU 2601 2 Eliminating Noise Symptoms - Replacing Exhaust Pipes (Humming noise from around exhaust system 20/16) Revision: This bulletin replaces ATI Group 2, #1503, dated July 23, 2015. Model Year: As of 2014 up to 2016 Vehicle Type: Macan S, Macan GTS, Macan Turbo Symptom: Customers complain of a humming noise coming from around the exhaust system. Cause: The dynamic rigidity of the decoupling elements Cause - exhaust system -1- on the exhaust gas connecting tubes Cause - exhaust system -2- is too low. Due to lack of insulation, the filler plates Cause - exhaust system -4- on the rear exhaust pipe Cause - exhaust system -3- can break. Cause - exhaust system Date of Introduction: Optimized exhaust gas connecting tubes are used in production from June 26, 2015. Remedial Action: In the event of a customer complaint, only the exhaust gas connecting tubes must be replaced and new connecting tubes with modified decoupling elements must be fitted. 2016© Porsche Cars North America, Inc.
