Service Technical Information 59/16 ENU 3734 3 Oil Leak/Leak on PDK Transmission (I-no. 250): Observe Information on How to Proceed (59/16) Vehicle Type: All Macan (95B) Model Year: As of 2014 up to 2016 Equipment: PDK transmission (I-no. 250) Subject: PDK transmission Concern: Oil leak/leak on PDK transmission close to the connection point between the intermediate housing and cover. Cause: Insufficient cross-cut made at the flange and as a result, the sealant has not bonded sufficiently. Date of Introduction: A modified transmission is installed as standard from Decmber 1, 2015 and as of VIN WP1AA2950GLB13966. Remedial Action: Find the oil leak and replace PDK transmission if necessary. Parts Info: 0FD300040* Work Procedure: 1 Raise the vehicle. Workshop Manual '4X00IN Lifting the vehicle' 2 Remove cover for center underbody. Workshop Manual '519319 Removing and installing cover for centre underbody' 3 Clean the PDK transmission if it is heavily soiled as a result of escaping oil. 4 Spray the area you have cleaned on the PDK transmission with leak-locating spray. 5 Perform a test drive and then find the leak. Information If there is a leak between the intermediate housing and cover before the specified date of introduction, the transmission must be replaced.
