Do NOT use Guided Functions for any PDI related test as these will not be uploaded to the Paperless Server. Refer to the Special functions tab of ODIS Diagnosis for using GFF for PDI function tests It is advised to start ODIS with the engine running to enable all 5F Test Plans in GFF and also to ensure SVM sees all control units during the SVM check vehicle configuration For items marked with *, please refer to the PDI Technician Reference Document posted on ServiceNet for additional information Vehicle Preparation Under the Hood Inspection (continued) Check Elsa for open campaigns and updates Check all fluid levels and top off if necessary Deactivate vehicle transport mode* This step must be performed with the engine off, and ignition on Exterior Check all key buttons and features* Set adaption channel to enable CD Ripping (if equipped with NAV)* Lighting and Windshield Set service reminder* Test exterior lighting functions Perform any open campaigns* Install wiper blades Set the service intervals to 10k instead of 5k during PDI or existing 2017 vehicles that are set incorrectly Test windshield washers 1. Click on the “Special functions” tab Trunk Inspection 2. Scroll down to ‘Maintenance’ Verify trunk is operational 3. Select the 17 - inspection with oil change - 10,000 miles, USA function test Verify operation of emergency release handle 4. Perform the function test, but make sure you select “USA” as the country variant and when the question “Which service display should be reset?” comes up, select #2 (Oil service display and inspection service display). 5.
