After adapting a key to the immobilizer the Audi advanced key functions (Audi advanced key door handles and
push button start) do not work. However, the vehicle can be unlocked and locked by remote control and the
vehicle can be started via the emergency coil reader.

(address word 0025)

Service
During the adaptation it is very important to hold the front edge of the key on the emergency coil reader (as if
inserting it in an ignition lock). If you hold the back of the key against the coil reader, it will not program fully. See
the following images (Figure 1-4):
